Savings bank account is a deposit account held at a bank or other financial institution that provides principal security and a modest interest rate. Savings account usually provides higher interest rates in accordance to the other accounts in a bank. Depending on the specific type of savings account that the bank provides, the account holder may or may not be able to write checks from the account and the account is likely to have a limited number of free transfers/transactions which can be accessed only if the bank provides net banking facility.
